Based in San Francisco, Vikrum Aiyer has served as the head of global public policy at Heirloom since 2022. He supports the climate-technology company’s policy development efforts on the global stage and has expanded Heirloom’s coalition of carbon-removal industry partners, with an emphasis on the expansion of a high-quality workforce capable of supporting America’s energy security and industrial competitiveness. Vikrum Aiyer has further supported the United States Energy Dominance agenda as an appointed member of the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers program, through which he engaged in critical energy policy dialogues on the global stage.

Vikrum Aiyer balances his activities at Heirloom with his role as the commissioner of the Workforce Investment Board, following an appointment by the mayor of San Francisco. He is also a board member with the Chamber of Progress and the community organization Yes In My Backyard (YIMBY) Action.

Mr. Aiyer holds a political science degree from the University of California, Berkeley. His interests include photography, cycling, and golf.
